Been Christian 40-plus years (Jesus is Lord-> see 1st Corinthians 12:3). Only asking prayer, but it's a long request. I don't see the difference between the mission field here in Oregon and the field anywhere else. People who don't have Jesus need Jesus just like the rest of us. I say this because medical school has traditionally been a good entry for missionaries into mission fields, and I hope to use my medical training to gain entry into restricted areas of the mission field known as the USA. The false charges and lack of stability stand between these goals (which I fought for years) and my capacity to be used of God. Please pray. Pray that He give me a knack for plucking ripe hearts from the field tended so closely by the Spirit Himself. Pray that the time for suffering end, that the time for service may begin in Spirit and in Truth. Thanks- Derek J

Please pray for our daughter Emma who has this mystery health condition we still haven’t been able to solve.
For about a year now Emma has a mystery itch in either inside or body as bladder spasms or near her groin area. We actually aren’t completely sure as the doctors can’t tell either. For the last year we have been going to doctor visit after doctor visit. They have performed dozens of tests. If you are thinking about it weve done the test for it. The doctors still aren’t 100% sure.
The latest visit was to urology where the doctor noticed an expanded bladder. We began a treatment program to help her bladder to shrink down. At first we saw improvement for a few weeks and thought we had finally found the root problem. However, it appears she has fully regressed back to where she is constantly itchy and will sit all day scratching and rubbing her legs together. She will do this at school, birthday parties, play dates and it is all consuming. Our big concern is when she goes into kindergarten how it will affect her learning when she is experiencing so much discomfort throughout the day. Additionally it has caused so much stress at home it is difficult to describe. With both my wife and I working full time we feel like we are losing our minds with this. Sometimes it’s months in between the next doctor visit, after dozens of doctor visits it doesn’t even feel like there is hope for identifying what the cause is. We may try going to a naturopath and looking into food allergies next. We have tried special diets already as well. As I said if you can think of it we have probably tried it.
Please be praying that God would completely heal Emma of this condition before kindergarten and that the root cause of the problem would be discovered.

Michael and I went up skiing today, I took a fall and my legs splayed out and there was a loud pop in my knee. Still walking slowly and no pain unless it bends outward. Pray that it isnt anything severe and that there will be a good prognosis after I get it checked on Monday.

A little update of 4 year old Carson who fell out of a two story window:
He is home and recovering well. He has a few broken bones, stitches, and bruises but he was miraculous spared. His parents are calling him, “Mr. 2nd Chances!” Please pray for his parents and the trauma of seeing their child in that state. I am sure it will take some healing to recover from that as well.
